The 36th annual Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships run January 23 – February 2, 2027 on the Riverwalk Center lawn in downtown Breckenridge. Teams from around the world hand-carve 20-ton, 12-foot-tall blocks of packed snow into elaborate works of art — using no power tools.
Sculpting Week (Jan 23–27) lets visitors watch the artists at work over roughly 100 hours of carving, and Viewing Week (Jan 27 – Feb 2) keeps the finished sculptures on public display. Evening illumination adds to the spectacle after dark. Admission is free.
