On Thursday, December 31, 2026, Breckenridge celebrates New Year's Eve with its traditional Torchlight Parade, in which ski and snowboard instructors glide down Peak 9 in formation carrying glowing red torches to form a river of light on the mountain.
A fireworks show launches from the base of Peak 9 later in the evening, visible from Blue River Plaza and throughout downtown. It's a free, festive way to welcome 2027 in one of Colorado's most iconic mountain towns.
