Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol comes to the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek on Wednesday, December 23, 2026, with performances at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Part of the Vilar Holiday Series, this touring production from CMI Entertainment and Entertainment Central Productions stays faithful to Dickens' story, following Ebenezer Scrooge through his visits from Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.

Projections recreate misty, cobblestoned Victorian London, while choral Christmas carols, large puppets and theatrical lighting effects bring the ghosts to life. A nationally selected cast performs in period costume.

The show runs about two hours and suits all ages. The 3 p.m. matinee is perfect for families coming off the slopes, while the 7:30 p.m. show makes a festive evening in Beaver Creek Village two nights before Christmas.
