Trade Black Friday shopping for a dark mountain sky at Historic Park Stargazing: Black Sky Friday, a free evening of telescope viewing at Frisco Historic Park & Museum on Friday, November 27, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Part of Breck Sky Fest as a satellite location, the evening brings astronomers and telescopes to the historic cabins on Frisco's Main Street. Peer at planets, stars and deep-sky objects, meet the astronomers, catch short astronomy talks and learn to pick out constellations.
It's a drop-in event, so come and go as you like — ideal for families winding down after Thanksgiving. At 9,000+ feet, the thin, dry mountain air makes for crisp viewing on a clear night.
Admission is free, but an RSVP through the Breck Sky Fest link is required; it's also how organizers send weather postponement or cancellation notices.
