Beaver Creek's signature test for strong skiers and riders, Talon's Challenge presented by Helly Hansen, returns on Saturday and Sunday, February 20–21, 2027.
The goal: conquer 14 of Beaver Creek's toughest black and double-black diamond runs in a single day, including steeps on the legendary Birds of Prey terrain. It's a leg-burning tour of the resort's most demanding mogul fields and pitches.
New for 2026–27, Talon's Challenge becomes a tracked competition with Terrain Scouts, complete with leaderboards and awards — so you can see how your day stacks up.
Participants need a lift ticket or pass, and registration is typically required. Spectators can watch finishers celebrate at the base, and Beaver Creek's 3 p.m. Cookie Time is a well-earned reward.
