Breckenridge, Colo. will kick off the holiday season with a kids’ fundraiser Reindeer Run, a new addition to Race of the Santas.. The fun runs take place just prior to the Lighting of Breckenridge, both include costumes with registration, and proceeds benefit Adopt an Angel Summit County.
Family members can dress as reindeer, Santa or Mrs. Claus for this downtown event that brings hundreds of Santa Clauses sprinting down Main Street. Registration starts at $10; the $30 entry includes a Santa suit. All proceeds benefit Adopt an Angel Summit County. Free hot cocoa, caroling, a procession with the real Santa, and lighting of the town tree follow the race.

Don’t miss the Summit Choral Society preforming in the Blue River Plaza

Holiday Carolers will be spreading winter cheer on Main St.

Race of the Santas/Kids Reindeer Run starts on Main St. by the Blue River Plaza. Registration and bib pick-up at the Riverwalk Center

Free hot cocoa and cookies in the Red, White, and Blue Fire House at 316 North Main Street

Santa arrives in front of Red, White and Blue Fire house (via horse-drawn
carriage) to lead a procession including the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade to
the Blue River Plaza for the lighting of the Town Tree
5:15 p.m.

Visits with Santa at the Barney Ford Museum, 111 E. Washington Ave. Let the little ones share their Holiday wishes with Santa and take a photo too!
