Sammy carries a long line of ancestry.  As a snow lion he lives in a long line of noble snow lines.

Early on in Snow Lion’s history, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave Snow Lion a mission: to publish books from all the spiritual traditions of Tibet. More specifically, he suggested that Snow Lion publish translations of classic texts and commentaries from each of the four main lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, and works by Western practitioners and scholars skilled at bridging the cultures. Since 1980, Snow Lion has faithfully carried out this mission, publishing over three hundred of what all of us think are some of the very best books on Tibetan Buddhist practice and study in English. However, the publishing landscape has changed, Jeff Cox and Sidney Piburn, Snow Lion’s president and cofounder, have been carrying this project for a long time, and it was clear, as they have grown older, that there needed to be a plan for their succession if they were to ensure the continued thriving of what has been their life’s work.

ARE YOU KIDDIN ME….

Sammy

YAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN…  I love my herratage,  and luve you Americans.  I to have pride in being a “mutt”! but the blaaa blaaa blaaa of the Tibet and missions has me a bit bouard!  I PREFER THE SNOW BOUARD and JUMPIN ovf cliffs or soaring like my ancesturs, only on in a more modorn way!  Sailing on a bouard through the air with no one on my bac.  Besides, I am far from Buddhist.  I am more of a free spirit.  Findin my way.  My bouard as my wings’ and my mind as my freedom.  Don’t get me wron, we Assie’s respect where we cam from and who made us who we r, but it is our faith in the SNO GODs, that’s truly what makes us happi RIGHT!!  I mean SNO IS EVERYTHIN, deep powdaa and loong turens through the fluffy powda that makes a grin a smil and a smil perminante – right.  A Quote from Sammy as he sits upon the powdery cliffs in  Summit County contemplating his next drop in….
