Summer at Copper wouldn’t be complete without Copper Country. On September 2 – 3, this free Labor Day tradition offers world-renowned musical acts and an artisan show. The 2017 line-up is set to include The Spinners, WAR, Vintage Trouble, The Long Players, Savannah Jack, Country Showdown and more.

A Labor Day festival tradition at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado, Copper Country celebrates the best of the American spirit. Incredible FREE live music, a fine arts exhibition Make this THE Labor Day event for the entire family.

CIDER CIRCUS

While this circus doesn’t come with 3 rings, there is still plenty of fanfare to be had at Cider Circus, August 25 – 26.  Sample craft ciders and brews while enjoying jugglers, mimes, clowns and acrobats. Sip and enjoy live music.

Kick off the weekend, with the Circus Sunset 5k. Post-race enjoy live music, demos and reward yourself at the Big Top Cheese Pairing which offers artisan food expertly paired with craft cider. The 5k mountain adventure includes: long-sleeve premium technical t-shirt, post-race snacks and drinks, athlete photography, entry into the Big Top Cheese Pairing and (2) beverage tickets to taste the finest craft ciders and beers!

Think you don’t like cider? Think again! This event is for tried and true cider-lovers, and we’ll have some great craft beer for those of you who think cider is not for you, though we’re betting you’ll leave with a cider favorite, or two, or three…

The Cider Circus will offer more than 75 craft cider and craft beers for sampling. From nano and micro cideries to obscure, handpicked craft beers, you’ll enjoy amazing creations from our participating cider houses and breweries…

COPPER TRIANGLE BICYCLE TOUR

On August 3-5, i25 Kia.com partners with the Davis Phinney Foundation for the 13th annual Copper Triangle, a 78-mile alpine cycling event. Featuring challenging climbs over Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass and Vail Pass, the Copper Triangle ride has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic road rides. All proceeds raised benefit Parkinson’s disease research.

A spectacular 78-mile loop cresting three mountain passes – Fremont Pass (elevation 11,318’), Tennessee Pass (elevation 10,424’) and Vail Pass (elevation 10,666’). The course passes three ski areas and is littered with historic mining outposts and camp Hale, the training ground for the famous 10th Mountain Division. The total elevation gain for the course is 5,981 ft. A great day on two wheels. The Alpine Cycling Classic exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies which features challenging high-altitude climbs over Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass and Vail Pass. Riders will start and finish at Burning Stones Plaza in central Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado. Amply stocked aid/rest stations will be positioned throughout the course. Upon returning from your ride, participants will be greeted by the “Alpine Celebration”. The post-ride party, with music, a first – class lunch, prize drawings and cycling expo will continue throughout the afternoon.
