On select Thursdays throughout the 2024/25 winter season, $99 lift tickets purchased online, in advance will have a portion of proceeds benefit 22 non-profit organizations over 20 weeks.

Special Olympics State Winter Games
February 28, 2025 – March 2, 2025
Copper is beyond proud to be the official host resort for the annual Special Olympics State Winter Games. More than 200 athletes will participate in Alpine, Cross Country, Snowboarding, and Snowshoe events.
Opening ceremonies, including the athlete parade, cauldron lighting, torchlight parade, and fireworks, kick off Saturday evening (3/1) at 6pm!

Mammut Stampede Series
Join us for the 2nd annual three-resort Mammut Stampede Series, commencing at Eldora on February 26, Arapahoe Basin on March 2, and concluding at Copper on March 8. Showcase your speed and skill, and vie for the title of the fastest athlete overall in the three races. This competition offers categories for all gender identities – men, women, and non-binary. The top finisher in each will be rewarded with Mammut swag…stay tuned for prizing details!
This race is in conjunction with Copper’s Uphill Race Series. Whether you are a Skimo expert or just beginning with touring, you’re invited to join us for one or all races in both of the series. You will be bib-timed and have a 2-hour window to complete each challenge. The final challenge of the Uphill Race Series presented by Mammut, named the “Copper Cup,” will award the top male, female, & non-binary competitors in each category: SKIMO, HeavyMetal, & Split Board.
- SKIMO: Ski Mountaineering racing is a human-powered endurance competition that involves climbing mountains on ski/splitboard, and passing through a series of acents & descents
- Heavy Metal: Participants with traditional backcountry skis, boots and bindings rather than specialized skimo racing equipment
- Split Board: A snowboard that can be divided into two parts to be used as skis with skins for ascents

Aerie Sunset Ski Series

As the sun sets over Copper Mountain, join us for a stunning evening of skiing/snowboarding under the alpen glow. Enjoy one complimentary drink and indulge in a variety of small bites, entrees, and desserts at our mid-mountain lodge, Aerie. Ski and eat, or eat and ski, on terrain off American Eagle and Excelerator lifts.
Relax and unwind with live music, a DJ, and fun games, all while sipping on your favorite beverages from one of our bars. Don’t miss out on the perfect duo: adventure and apres ski!

Uphill Race Series presented by Mammut

Whether you are a Skimo expert or just beginning with touring, join us for Copper’s Winter Race Series. This exciting program, presented by our partners at Mammut, will welcome uphill skiers of all abilities to come enjoy Copper in a new, different way! You will be bib-timed and have a 2 hour window to complete each challenge. Slush Rush
May 3, 2025
Skiers and riders alike are welcome to join in teams of three to compete in a relay race that combines several snow sport competition favorites…with a twist.
When/Where:
- Center Village
- 12pm competition start time (check in and course inspection from 9am)
Team Format:
- 3 people per team, minimum age 12 years
- Maximum 60 teams
- Any gender and discipline (ski/snowboard/snowblades – no ski bikes)
- Costumes encouraged
Course Format:
- Subaru Superpipe Slalom | Get around all the gates, which are set in the 22′ Superpipe walls, quickly!
- Nokian Tyres Cross Course | Speed is the name of the game. Navigate the banked turns while *steadily* holding a full mug of Gatorade.
- YETI Rails & Pond Skim | Show off a buttery rail slide, trick on a medium size jump, & make it across the ice-cold pond skim (bonus points for the best trick!)

Competition Format:
- The team with the quickest overall timed run, after the judge’s points and course penalties, will be named on the perpetual Slush Rush Trophy! Plus, you will each be awarded the grand prize of a 2025-26 Copper Mountain Season Pass. *If you’re already a season pass holder, you can choose to upgrade your pass with a Fast Tracks Season Pass.
- Second and third place teams will receive medals.
- The individual athlete with the best trick in the YETI Rails & Pond Skim section, based on the judge’s decision, will be awarded a medal and YETI cooler.
- The team with the best costume, based on the judge’s decision, will each be awarded a medal and a 2025-26 Copper Mountain Four Pack.
