Frisco July 4th Celebration

LODGING

July 4th

Man on decorated bike in 4th of July Parade

If you are looking for an Independence Day celebration in a quintessential small mountain town, then Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July will fit the bill with big town amenities and great entertainment, but a small town feel. Frisco knows how to throw a party filled with activities for the whole family on Frisco’s charming Main Street and at the beautiful Frisco Bay Marina.

An Old Fashioned Day With Friends and Family

The focus for Frisco’s 2019 Fabulous 4th of July celebrations will be on spending the day celebrating in a simpler small town way with friends and family.
Start the day off right with a pancake breakfast. In between you will find: a hometown parade with a kids’ bike decorating contest, great concerts, a block party feel on Main Street and even a free fishing derby for the kids sponsored by the Town of Frisco and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

A New Tradition

This year, 4th of July celebrations in Frisco will end with a concert at the Frisco Bay Marina from 5:30pm-7:30pm, and the time after that will be yours to spend with family and friends making your own July 4th fun.
This is a departure from past years, when Frisco has ended the night with a fireworks display. Ongoing concerns about traffic, crowd and parking management and the subsequent the ability of first responders to reach emergencies, as well as persistent fire danger, forced Frisco to cancel fireworks and focus on creating new traditions.
We encourage you to enjoy this time and to make new memories with friends and family at your own BBQ or at one of Frisco’s great restaurants.

You’ll likely see whacky floats, beautiful horses, classic cars, hundreds of kids on decorated bikes… all with a backdrop of mountains in every direction. If you are looking for a classic July 4th parade in a quintessential mountain town, then Frisco is the place for you. And the day doesn’t begin or end with the parade- check out our full schedule of 4th of July events.

Parade Information

The 4th of July Parade is a great way to support the community and there is no entry fee. Register online for the 2019 Frisco Independence Day parade with the form below. Day of registration will begin on the July 4 at 11:00am in the parking lot on the west side of Town Hall, but we encourage you to register in advance.

WHO CAN BE PART OF THE PARADE?

Anyone who wants to decorate a float and be part of the fun. In 2019, Frisco wants to make the parade extra special and is requiring that anyone in the parade decorate whatever vehicle, bike, float… they enter.

WHEN IS THE PARADE AND WHERE DO WE LINE UP FOR THE START?

  • The parade will begin promptly at 12:30pm.
  • Participants should be lined up on Madison Avenue north of Main Street by 12:15pm (you may begin to line up as early as 10:15am on July 4).
  • Insider hint – it is often easier to lineup by approaching from Creekside Drive as the parade does backup onto Creekside Drive pre-parade and Main Street and Madison Avenue are quite busy.

WHERE DO FLOATS CHECK IN?

Once you are lined up on the street, please check in at parade registration tent, located in the Town Hall parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Madison Avenue. This is where you will sign waivers and receive your parade numbers, which qualifies you for parade judging and prizes.

PARADE RULES

  • The maximum height for any float in the parade is 14 ft.
  • Spectator safety is major concern during the parade. As a parade participant you are required to use extreme caution when providing spectators with candy or giveaways from your float. You are required to hand, NOT throw, candy to spectators.
  • In an effort to keep the Town of Frisco streets and sidewalks clean, no participant of the parade shall throw, cast or drop confetti, decorative items or articles of trash during the parade. Any violation of this could result in a $500 clean up fee.
