DEW TOUR 2017

The Dew Tour returns to Breck for the eleventh year, from Dec. 14-17, 2017, with a fresh new format. The event is traditionally the start of the competition season, attracting the best in the world with the prize purse and Dew Tour title on the line.

As a U.S. Ski and Snowboard Olympic qualifying event, the stakes are higher than ever this year.

The four-day event features individual Superpipe and slopestyle competitions, along with live concerts, the interactive Dew Tour Experience, The Powder Awards and Transworld Snowboarding Rider’s Poll Awards.

The Team Challenge is also back for another year, featuring invited teams of skiers and riders to compete on the unique three-course layout with Superpipe and slopestyle elements.

THE SLOPESTYLE VENUE

Guests can walk up to the base of the slopestyle venue from the Peak 8 base area, between the Kid’s Castle and 5 Chair. dew-tour

This is a high traffic area, so please heed all pedestrian and operating equipment warning signs. Additional spectator viewing can be accessed via Rip’s Ride and a short walk downhill alongside the skier’s right of the slopestyle course.

There is no slopestyle viewing from the halfpipe deck while the halfpipe venue is closed. This is staffed by security and anyone attempting to access a closed venue will be turned away.

THE HALFPIPE VENUE

Guests can access the halfpipe venue via Rip’s Ride. Free foot passenger tickets are available at the ticket windows, from Guest Services staff and at the base of the Rip’s Ride itself. Free foot passenger tickets and proper footwear are required.

Guests will not be allowed to take ski and snowboard equipment up the lift with them if they are using a foot passenger ticket. There is no downloading allowed on Rip’s Ride, so guests must be prepared to walk back down along the skier’s right side of the slopestyle course.

Ski poles are available to use for stability. Please return poles to the receptacles provided at the base of the venue.
