A-Basin Terrain Expansion

At the operational boundary is the proposed expansions, which include a zip line, increased storage for snow making, the replacement of old lifts and the incorporation of a new lift and additional terrain.

The Beavers expansion would be about 435 acres with 282 lift served and 152 hike-back acres.  This would go beyond the current boundaries but would stay within the U.S. Forest Service’s special use permit.  This area is one that many expert skiers are already using so this development would only make it’s use safer for future use.  The 4.200 for long Beavers chairlift, with a 1,500 foot vertical climb; wold provide access to two additional blue runs and better access to black diamond tree trails as well as some double black diamond terrain accessible by hiking.

A-Basin’s Proposals

  1. Adventure zip line course
  2. Snow making reservoir storage
  3. Surface lift from Len lift to Zuma Bowl
  4. Approximately 434-acre Beavers expansion with one lift, 282 lift served acres and 152 hike back acres
  5. Remove Norway lift
  6. Replace Pallavicini and Molly Hogan lifts with similar alignment and capacity.
