Frisco’s 43rd annual Gold Rush Weekend connects the mining history of the past with the Nordic traditions of the present. Frisco, Colorado’s Main Street of the Rockies was once the center of Colorado’s mining-boom and the convergence of two major railroads and stagecoach routes. At more than 9,000 feet, Frisco still values its rich mining history while being surrounded by some of the best ski resorts Colorado has to offer. From Friday, January 25 through Sunday, January 27, the Town of Frisco will celebrate Gold Rush weekend with events for the entire family, including historic lectures, museum movie night, a 5K moonlight snowshoe race, a huge bonfire, fireworks, and of course, Nordic races!
